- Person with 40% or more disability.

- Person holding a Disability ID card issued by the Department of Social Security.

What benefit is available? |
- Under this scheme, if the beneficiary dies or becomes permanently disabled due to any reason other than suicide or natural death, the benefit under this scheme is admissible subject to the terms of the insurance policy, in which the beneficiary is eligible for insurance coverage up to Rs. 1 lakh as follows.

Whom to apply for the benefit? |
- The compensation claim application in the prescribed format along with proof must be received by the Nodal Officer within 90 days from the date of accident death/disability. The Nodal Officer shall conduct necessary verification within 30 days from the date of receipt and forward it along with their certificate and all required documents to the Insurance Regulator's Office/Insurance Company. However, if the application is not admissible in the initial stage considering the provisions of the scheme resolution, the concerned Nodal Officer must reject it at their level and inform the applicant accordingly. Thus, the Nodal Officer has the authority to reject the claim.
