Ashram Shalas

Eligibility Criteria

Ashram Shalas are run by Voluntary Organisations for students of std. 1 to 7
Student should be studying in std. 1 to 7
Student should be of Developing Tribes, Minorities or Nomadic and De-notified Tribes
For admission, the annual income limit of the guardian of the students :- Rs. 47,000/- in Rural area and Rs. 68000/- in Urban area.

Maintenance grant Rs. 1000/- p.m. for 10 months per student
4 Teachers in the pay scale of Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- with Grade pay Rs. 2400/- fixed pay of Rs.2500/- p.m. for first 5 years to the teachers appointed from 7-11-2000
One Cook and two Assistant Cooks in pay scale of Rs. 4440/- to Rs. 7440/- Grade pay Rs. 1300/- and fixed pay of Rs. 1500/- p.m. appointment from 7-11-2000 is increased Rs. 6000/- p.m..
One Kamathi in the pay scale of Rs. 4440/- to Rs. 7440/- and Grade pay Rs. 1300/-, fixed pay of Rs.1500/- p.m. appointment from 7-11-2000.
Assistance for construction of house
House Rent of Rs. 150/- p.m. (for first 3 years)
Non-Recurring grant for Library, Animal purchase, Wells and Water Tank
