- Legal schemes are implemented in Gujarat State to minimize the quantum of child offenses, for which Justice For Children Act, 2000 is in force in the State.
- Under this Act, the Child Welfare Committee takes up necessary procedure to rehabilitate the boys and girls upto the age of 18 years who are relinquished, wandering, orphan-destitute and turned to begging, while the Juvenile Justice Board takes necessary procedure to rehabilitate the children turned to offensive activities by admitting them in 107 Children Homes and 26 Child Protection Homes established in each District under this Act by giving protection, treatment as per their requirement.
