| The Maintenance and Welfare of the Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 has come into force in the State of Gujarat. For implementation of this Act, the Government of Gujarat has framed the Maintenance and Welfare of the Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009. These rules contain provisions for Constitution of a Tribunal, summary procedure in case of investigations and the rights and jurisdiction of the Tribunal, order for payment of maintenance allowance and Constitution of Appellate Tribunal. |
