• 5. To approve salary bills
• 6. Matters related to recruitment rules/departmental examination of each cadre
• 7. All new matters related to the establishment
• 8. Matters of approval of expenditure under new and old matters pertaining to the establishment.
• 9. Regarding granting permission for vehicles provided to the districts under the department to travel as regulated or more than the prescribed km as per the rules.
• 10. Construction-renovation of offices-institutions under the Directorate of Social Defense as well as work related to purchase of furniture-equipment.
• 11. Action taken on establishment references from the V.C., Hon. Minister/Hon. Chief Minister or other dignitaries

• Establishment/Service related activities of the Commissioner's Office for the Disabled.
• Establishment/Service-related activities of Gujarat State Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation.
• Establishment/Service related to Grant-in-Aid Institutions under Directorate of Social Defense and other ancillary activities related to the institutions.
• Work on the implementation of the Grant-in-Aid Code,
• IT-computer Related work
